R. T. Mawia

Mawia serves in Bangladesh, which is located in South Asia, surrounded by India on all sides except for a small border with Myanmar and the Bay of Bengal to the South.

Mawia faces many hardships. He does a lot of traveling (walking) to stay in contact with the people, teaching and preaching.

Mawia states that the year 2024 was a challenging year for the Bangladesh Christian Mission. Early in the year, the male students at the North Benal Mission School could not sleep in their 2nd floor dormitory beds, due to excessive summer heat. Later in the year, a mob of Muslim protesters fire-bombed one of their churches in the Hill Tract area, requiring extensive repairs.

Mawia works with several tribal groups (non-Bengali Muslims). Some places he travels are very dangerous.

These are just a few of the hardships Mawia faces, but he continues to do the Lord's work.
